Magazine Unit Goals:
To begin to tackle the 9th Grade EQ’s, students will explore what makes them who they are in the form of a “self” magazine.
Students will warm up to writing.
Students will learn to use technology as a creative tool.
Students will get to know their classmates better and feel more comfortable in class.
Could be a PhotoStory document and Creative Commons licenced photos from Flickr, perhaps using FlickrCC. (we have teachers and students get to know each other, while students get to work with media, and we get to teach lessons about copyright and acceptable use...).
This could also be where we introduce Project Foundry.
